Hey bloggers, Shabeera here! This is the first day of the Summer Learning Journey! I'm really excited. For activity 1, we visited the The Tourism NZ Website and had to find out one of the top 3 facts about New Zealand. Here are my facts!
- New Zealand was once governed as part of the territory of New South Wales and later a part of Australia.

- The Auckland City Sky Tower is the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere at 328 meters high.
Here are some extra facts that were that are interesting!
- 30% of the country is forest.
- There are no snakes in the country!
- When in New Zealand, you must drive on the left side of the road
- New Zealand is one of the world’s least populated countries with over 4 million populations
