My reading DLO!

Hello, I'm back with my work! For the past 4 days, I have been making a DLO  ( Digital learning Object) for my reading. My DLO was a Google Animation. We read this book named Giving The Ocean A Voice. Our WALT is to combine my prior knowledge with my new learning to say what I think. (This is synthesising) At the end of my animation, I decided to put my Synthesising at the end of my animation.

Here is my animation!

This was a little hard to do because it took me a long time. I got a bit stressed out sometimes but it was was still fun do. Please leave a positive comment on my post. Blog you later!

Show, But not tell.

Hey bloggers, I'm back with my learning. This week we are working on using descriptive language by sharing our writing straight onto our blog.  The challenge we have is to describe a place using only six sentences. After reading the description you need to guess the place that has been described. It would really help if you say what clues helped you come to this conclusion.

1. Water crashing into a big water pit.
2. Diving perfectly into deep water.
3. Bright green trees surrounding me like a big forest.
4. Water dripping down hard rocks
5. Loud water everywhere.
6. Insects crawling on the land.

Could you guess it?
Please leave your guesses in the comment area. Blog You Later!

Swimming At School!

Hey Bloggers, I'm back with my work. For the past few weeks, we have been  taking swimming lessons in our School pool and at Cameron pools. Only the year 3-6's can go to Cameron pools. We swim in our school pool on Wednesdays and Fridays and we swim at Cameron pools on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Next Friday we are going to have our swimming sports and it's going to be really fun. Here is a slideshow of Hauraki at Cameron pools and at our school pool.

Swimming at school is very fun because sometimes we practise our diving. At Cameron Pools we practise a lot of safety stuff and do lessons and we also sometimes have free time. This Slideshow that I made was easy and it didn't take long at all. Maybe you go to Cameron pools for lessons? Please leave a positive comment. Blog you later!

Welcome to 2018!

Welcome to 2018 Bloggers!
I am super excited to be blogging again. I had a amazing summer. So today in cyber-smart, we were doing a DLO.  If you don't know what it is, it stands for Digital learning object. For our DLO, we did a google drawing and a screencastify about  keeping your password a secret. We did this because we had to use 1 rule that was in the Kawa Of Care. I did the DLO with my two friends, Skye and Abby.  Here is our google drawing.

Screencastify...

I think it was easy to do the poster but a little hard to do the screencastify because we kept on giggling. Overall it, was fun doing the whole DLO.  Hope you guys liked the screencastify and the google drawing. Please leave a positive comment and remember to never your tell your password to anyone. Wheels Day!

Hey Bloggers.
I'm back with my work.
On Monday we had a Wheels day. If you don't know what wheels day is, its when you bring stuff that have wheels on, like a scooter and skateboard. Also it was mufti day and there was a slip and slide. It was super fun and relaxing. We had three rotations. My first rotation was swimming, then games and the after was riding on wheels. There was also some products left from the gala day that hadn't been sold. Here is a slideshow of the day.

This day was super fun but at the end, I was super exhausted and tired. My favourite rotation would have to be the pool/slip and slide. I liked this rotation because the slip and slide was very fun and the pool was nice and warm. Feel free to comment and leave some feed back. Blog you later!

Owl-tearoa

Hey bloggers, I'm back with my learning. At the start of term 4,  we signed up for an exhibition to paint an owl so it can be in placed in Auckland city. We did this because of child cancer and we wanted to support kids that have cancer. We finished painting the owl around two weeks ago. We can't show a photo of the whole owl because is a secret but we can show you some parts of the owl. The name of our Owl is Owl-tearoa Here are some of the photos of the owl.

This took a few weeks to paint but it was totally worth it. You can go and see this owl next year in the Auckland city. There's also other schools participating in this so there will be other kind of owls.  I'll be blogging more about this next year and there will be more photos of this. There's also a website for this http://www.thebighoot.co.nz/ go and visit this website.
Feel free to comment and also leave some feed back. Hope you like my blog post. Blog you later!

Our Gala Day Thinking Hats

Hey bloggers, I'm back with my work. Around two weeks ago we had our amazing Gala day. It was really successful. There were lots of people there. We decided to do our six thinking hats for our gala day. We had to reflect on the gala day like what was positive and negative. Here is my slide show

I think that this was a little easy but mostly hard because of the black thinking hat. I struggled a little on it. My favourite thinking hat was the yellow one because its all about the positive stuff and because it was easy to answer. I wish you were there on the gala day because it was so much fun. In this slideshow, I learnt that it can be hard to get ready for a gala day.  Hope you liked my blog post. Please leave a comment and leave some feed back. Blog you later!
