Wheels Day!

Hey Bloggers.
I'm back with my work.
On Monday we had a Wheels day. If you don't know what wheels day is, its when you bring stuff that have wheels on, like a scooter and skateboard. Also it was mufti day and there was a slip and slide. It was super fun and relaxing. We had three rotations. My first rotation was swimming, then games and the after was riding on wheels. There was also some products left from the gala day that hadn't been sold. Here is a slideshow of the day.

This day was super fun but at the end, I was super exhausted and tired. My favourite rotation would have to be the pool/slip and slide. I liked this rotation because the slip and slide was very fun and the pool was nice and warm. Feel free to comment and leave some feed back. Blog you later!

Owl-tearoa

Hey bloggers, I'm back with my learning. At the start of term 4,  we signed up for an exhibition to paint an owl so it can be in placed in Auckland city. We did this because of child cancer and we wanted to support kids that have cancer. We finished painting the owl around two weeks ago. We can't show a photo of the whole owl because is a secret but we can show you some parts of the owl. The name of our Owl is Owl-tearoa Here are some of the photos of the owl.

This took a few weeks to paint but it was totally worth it. You can go and see this owl next year in the Auckland city. There's also other schools participating in this so there will be other kind of owls.  I'll be blogging more about this next year and there will be more photos of this. There's also a website for this http://www.thebighoot.co.nz/ go and visit this website.
Feel free to comment and also leave some feed back. Hope you like my blog post. Blog you later!

Our Gala Day Thinking Hats

Hey bloggers, I'm back with my work. Around two weeks ago we had our amazing Gala day. It was really successful. There were lots of people there. We decided to do our six thinking hats for our gala day. We had to reflect on the gala day like what was positive and negative. Here is my slide show

I think that this was a little easy but mostly hard because of the black thinking hat. I struggled a little on it. My favourite thinking hat was the yellow one because its all about the positive stuff and because it was easy to answer. I wish you were there on the gala day because it was so much fun. In this slideshow, I learnt that it can be hard to get ready for a gala day.  Hope you liked my blog post. Please leave a comment and leave some feed back. Blog you later!

My Inquiry Learning

Hey bloggers, I'm back with my learning. Last term we started designing tote bags for our Celebration day coming up next week on Saturday. We are also designing tote bag so other people would stop using plastic bags and also you can reuse the tote bags. This is how you make a tote bag.
First you have to have your two pieces of fabric ready to pin together but you don't pin the top part of the fabric together because its for the opening of your bag.

Second you have to get your sewing machine and start sewing your fabric together except the the top bit where you did not pin it together.

Third, fold the first top and sew it together and then repeat it again.

Now you sew on some straps. After that your done. Its should look something like this.

Here are some other photos......

This was a little hard because I have never sewed before. I learnt how to sew and make a tote bag. My first tote bag I made was a little hard to do because sewing on the straps were a bit hard for me. On the Celebration day the money is going the junior playground. My second bag I made was really good and also my third one is good. I'm making a fourth bag but i'm not quite finish with it yet. Tote bags are better than  plastic bags because plastics bags can kill sea animal. Feel free to comment. Blog you later!

My NZ Journey

Hey Bloggers, I'm back with my learning. At the the start of Term 4, we started this maths slide show where we had to travel from the bottom of the NZ South Island up to the North Island. We had to calculate how much the hotels were, the car rent, the petrol and the activities. One of the hard parts were that everyday there is a $500 dollar budget. Here is my slide show.

I think that this slide show was really hard because everyday you have to spend $500 or under. Another reason this was hard was because it was hard to count up the petrol costs. My total cost was $5098. I did go over budget with some days. One of my favourite places were going to Auckland because there were a lot of activities to pick out. One of the activities that I really wanted to do but I couldn't because of how much it costed was bungy jumping.  I learnt that it can be hard to go on a trip around New Zealand because it costs too much money. Hope you liked my slide show. Blog you later.

Jonty and Choc - Book review

Hey Bloggers, I'm back with my learning. Last week, all of the Senior Syndicate started a book review on a novel. I had been given a really good story named Jonty and Choc written by Vince Ford. We were asked  fill in the stuff in a Slideshow that we made a copy of. After reading your book you could start doing the slides.  I have finished reading my book but not  finished my slideshow yet, but I would like you to see one of my slides that I have finished which is the plot or story line. Here it is.

This was pretty easy to do because I could understand the story really well. One day you have to read Jonty and Choc because it's a really good story full of drama.  Maybe you could do a book review on a book that you liked. I hope you liked my work. Blog you later!

Our Dance!

Hey bloggers. I'm back with my learning.  At the start of term three we did a dance Competition where we had to get in to groups of 6 or 7 and choreograph a dance with some music that had been to given by our teacher. Here is a video of our dance.

I think that the dance was hard to choreograph but doing it is easy. We got a along very well when we were practising. We practised 2 times a week so we know it well. Feel free to comment. Blog you later.
