Oat The Goat!

Hey Bloggers! On our Chromebooks we read/watched this story named "Oat The Goat." On the website you could read it, watch it, read it ourselves or let someone read it to you. The book was  about bullying. After we read it, we made a copy of a google drawing that had all the six thinking hats on it. Here are all the thinking hats
White = Infromation
Yellow = Positive
Black = Negative
Red = Feelings
Green = Creative
Blue = What you should do now
Here are My Six thinking hats about the story!

This was really easy to do because I understood the story. The book was about a goat going on a small trip to a mountain and meets lots of  friends and helps 2 characters from being bullied. We did this activity because it was anti bullying day. Here is a photo our whole school dressed in pink!

 You should really read it. Click me for the link! Feel free to leave a positive, helpful and thoughtful comment. Blog you later! (This work was done near  the start of the term)

Hauraki's Installation Art.

Hey Bloggers! For the Art Show this term, all of Hauraki are going to be doing an Installation Art. One day, we presented a slideshow  that we made for the other classes in little groups. Our slideshow had to have... Why we are doing this, What not to put in  the Soft plastic bin, What to put in the soft plastic bin and the design of it. For our design, Hauraki's going to be building a house that will have all the rubbish in it.
Also for the Art Show, everyone in  Hauraki are individually painting a New Zealand bird. I'm painting a Kiwi. My kiwi is not fully finished yet, all I need to do is paint more coats and put some finishing touches on it.

Here is my slide show!

Here is my kiwi!

It took me a few days to make the slideshow. I had to present our slide show in front of Manukau. I am gonna be making more slides as the weeks go by so you will see a few unfinished slides at the end. If you would like to come to the opening of our Art show, Its on the 26th of June 6:15pm - 8:15pm. Feel free to comment something positive. Blog you later!

Tiritiri Matangi Trip!

Hey bloggers! On Thursday, we went on a fun, amazing and fantastic Trip to Tiritiri Matangi! Tiritiri Matangi is a sanctuary for endangered animals like Black Robins and Takahe. We travelled on a bus to the ferry place. After when we are on the ferry we took a stop to Gulf Harbour then continued to Tiritiri Matangi! When we got there we got into groups and went with our tour guides. After an hour or more, we were near the lighthouse, eating lunch. When we finished lunch, we did activities, went to Hobbs beach then we on the ferry again, heading back to school. We left school at  8:00 and came back at around 5:40.
Here are some photos of the day!

One thing I like about the trip to Tiritiri Matangi is that you could buy food on the ferry and that there is no predators on the island. Something that I learnt is that there is 1% of Takahe left and that the NZ Wood Pigeon sometimes cant fly because they are too fat. Maybe one day you will go to Tiritiri Matangi. I was in a group with Ben, Abby, Alex,  and Bruno. Please feel free to leave a positive comment. Blog you later!
