Summer Learning Journey - Day one!

Hey bloggers, Shabeera here! This is the first day of the Summer Learning Journey! I'm really excited. For activity 1, we visited the The Tourism NZ Website and had to find out one of the top 3 facts about New Zealand. Here are my facts!

  1.  New Zealand was once governed as part of the territory of New South Wales and later a part of Australia.
  2. New Zealand was once governed as part of the territory of New South Wales and later a part of Australia.
  3. The Auckland City Sky Tower is the tallest freestanding structure in the Southern Hemisphere at 328 meters high.
Here are some extra facts that were that are interesting!

  • 30% of the country is forest.
  • There are no snakes in the country!
  • When in New Zealand, you must drive on the left side of the road
  • New Zealand is one of the world’s least populated countries with over 4 million populations
Were the facts cool? Some of the facts from the website I didn't even know about. Feel free to leave a PTH (Positive, helpful and thoughtful) comment.
 See you later bloggers!

  2. Mālō e lelei Shabeera,

Cia here from the Summer learning Journey Ako Hiko team.

I can see you have read up on some facts about New Zealand. Remember that although the activity is asking that you use the information on the linked website, you must make sure you paraphrase any information (put it in to your own words).

Please rethink and edit your post to include three chosen facts that have been paraphrased by you.

For future posts, please make sure that all your posts are written in your own words in order to make sure you receive full points for activities.

Keep working hard, I look forward to reading your edited post :)

Toe feiloa’i fo’i (see you again),

    Cia.
