Waikowhai Intermediate Production!

Hey Bloggers! This week, all the Senior Syndicate went to Waikowhai Intermediate on a bus to watch their production named, 'This Is Me'. The production was really funny and was filled with dance, singing, monologues, and much more. The production was also made up except for some of the songs that were played. We left school at around 11:40 am and arrived 11:45. The production started at 12:00 pm and ended at 1:55 pm. There was an intermission in the middle of the production for everyone and also everyone sang This Is Me and the end. There were contemporary dancers, hip hop girls and boys,  Kapa Haka, 19th Harmony (Singing group), Pasifika mix dance group, choir and much more. Also, when we came back, we used the De Bono thinking hats to reflect on the show. Here is a photo of us watching the show and my De Bono thinking hats work.

The Waikowhai Intermediate production was amazing. Considering it was there first time performing in front of a big audience was impressive. The show was actually about showing your true self, not being someone that you aren't and not changing because of people. Feel free to leave a positive, helpful and thoughtful comment. Literacy Tumble For W8

Hey bloggers! This weeks we started a new Literacy Tumble. If you don't know what the literacy tumble is, its filled with reading and writing. But every 25 minutes, some people switch over to there writing or reading group. There are 'must dos', 'should dos', and 'could dos'. The 'must dos' that you had to do by Friday included, writing follow up, reading follow up and blog comment. One of the 'should dos' included creative writing.

This week, I completed all my 'must dos' but didn't finish the whole slideshow. I think next week when we start a new literacy tumble, I could finish most of it. Maybe you could create your own  literacy tumble for your friends. Please feel free to comment something positive, helpful and and thoughtful.

Literacy Tumble!

Welcome back! For the past week, we have been doing a literacy tumble. If you don't know what a literacy tumble is, its when you get given activities to work on. There's the must do's that you have to do by Friday, the should do's and the could dos . I have finished all my musts, should's and nearly all my could's. Our must's included:

The must's were easy and only took around 2 days to finish. I think next time I could finish the whole slideshow. Maybe you could create your own literacy tumble. My favourite part was writing a blog comment because you can find out what other schools are doing and connect with them. Feel free to leave a positive, helpful and thought comment.
